A Note on Where The Quantified Soul Is Going
As we move into the new year, I want to share a quick update about the future home of The Quantified Soul.
Over the past year, this project has grown beyond what a typical newsletter format is designed to hold. The ideas I’m working with—about mind, structure, coherence, and the soul—depend heavily on context. They don’t travel well as isolated posts in a fast-moving feed.
Because of that, I’ll be migrating The Quantified Soul to a more mature platform on Ghost.
Ghost allows this work to live as what it actually is: not a stream of updates, but a library—a place for orientation, continuity, and long-horizon thinking.
What This Means in Practice
There will continue to be public-facing content, and nothing essential will be hidden. But most free essays will require a free account to read.
There’s no cost to sign up.
The reason for this isn’t monetization—it’s coherence. Requiring a simple signup creates a small pause before entry. It helps ensure readers arrive with intention, and it protects ideas that rely on context from being stripped of it as they circulate.
Free ≠ public.
Free, here, means deliberate.
What’s Coming as the Book Approaches
As the publication of The Quantified Soul draws closer, I also plan to introduce an additional layer of content on Ghost.
This will include things like:
longer-form essays that extend the book’s arguments
thinking-in-progress and exploratory material
full dialogues and conceptual experiments
early formulations of ideas that may become future books
This material won’t be necessary to understand the core work—but it will be for readers who want to stay closer to how the ideas are developing.
That layer will be paid.
However: anyone who purchases the book will receive a full year of access to this additional content at no extra cost. The intent is simple: if you support the work by buying the book, you shouldn’t be gated from the work that grows out of it.
Why This Shift Matters
This move isn’t about growth, reach, or optimization. It’s about giving complex ideas the conditions they need to remain intelligible.
Substack has been a good place to begin this conversation. Ghost will be a better place to continue it.
I’ll share more details as the transition unfolds. For now, thank you for reading—and for taking these ideas seriously enough to follow them into a space designed to hold them.

Thanks for all the work you are putting into this project. So much food for thought in your writings. Breaking new ground can be a lonely endeavour!
I’m thinking how we can support our educational efforts given the overlap of premises and processes. I’ll call you.
