I've been hard at work studying... writing.

Sorry it’s been a while since the last essay.

I’ve been buried in the work of learning how to actually write and edit a book so The Dream of Matter can be as strong as it deserves to be. The challenge is taking some pretty dense ideas about the brain, mind, and soul and making them clear—and hopefully enjoyable—to read.

I’ve got to say, I’m enjoying it more than I expected. It’s been a long time since I learned a completely new creative skill, and while I’m not aiming to be some literary master, I do want these ideas to come through in a way that works.

The good news is, the writing’s getting tighter and less meandering. I’ll be picking things back up here with a couple of edited versions of earlier essays before diving into new material.
